Candies Creek Academy partners with parents to produce graduates who are committed to Christ, critical thinkers, confident communicators, and citizens of virtue. Our ideal graduate is a committed disciple of Christ, fully prepared for a lifetime of making disciples.
Committed to Christ. Jesus Christ is the focal point of all that is, has been and ever will be. We believe that the education of children begins with this reality. We desire our graduates to be growing disciples of Christ in community with His church, and glorifying God by loving, trusting, and obeying Him.
Careful & Creative Thinkers. Our goal is not to educate students in what to think, but in how to think thoroughly, maturely and Biblically. Having completed graduation requirements including the Bible, language arts, arithmetic, science, history, foreign language, and science, along with a variety of course work in composition, logic, and fine arts, our graduates will be prepared to integrate reason and faith with a readiness to respond to meaningful historical and contemporary conversations and debates in the pursuit of truth.
Confident Communicators. It is our aim to equip students to think clearly, reason persuasively, and speak and write precisely, evaluating all human knowledge and experience in the light of truth with grace. Our graduates will be confident to engage in meaningful debates, making their arguments with civility through writing and speech.
Citizens of Virtue. All true virtues are a work of the Spirit of God, beginning in our hearts. Virtues are not rules and regulations, but rather guidelines to a properly lived life. As our students are introduced to virtue and grow in virtue, our desire is for them to understand what it means to be virtuous neighbor, colleague, and citizen. The goal for our graduates is to focus not on making a living, but rather on making a life.
